Deadline for entry Mon 4 Jan 2021 17:00 GMT
This is the first year the Royal Cambrian Academy have selected works for the exhibition online. There were twice the usual entries – over 500 – and the standard of work was very high. The panel has now made their considered and impartial selection of just over 200 pieces.
We aim to stage the exhibition as usual at the gallery in Conwy, however organising delivery of work, hanging and opening the show will be constrained by government guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19. In order to ensure the safety of gallery staff and artists, we have carefully considered the current situation and taken the decision to postpone the gallery exhibition until late spring/early summer. We will also postpone the announcement of the prize winners until this time. Meanwhile, the exhibition online will be launched as originally planned on 13 February 2021.
An exhibition opportunity will be offered to prize winners and artists commended by the judges
